What we collect
Only the information you choose to enter — your income, expenses, savings, loans, goals, and a basic account profile (name, email, password hash). FinCoach does NOT connect to your bank, does NOT scrape transactions, and does NOT pull credit data.
How we store it
Your data is stored on managed cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. Passwords are stored only as a one-way bcrypt hash — even we cannot read them.
Who can see your data
Only you. Your financial inputs are never sold, never used to train external models, and never shared with third parties for marketing. Limited anonymous aggregates (e.g., total active users) may be used internally to improve the product.
AI processing
When you request AI-powered insights, the relevant subset of your data is sent securely to our AI provider to generate a response. No data is retained by the provider for model training. You can stop using AI features at any time without losing the rest of the app.
Your rights
- Export or delete your account data at any time from Settings.
- Withdraw consent for AI processing by stopping use of AI features.
